Family Resource Centers

Title I operates two Family Resource Centers located at the McMillan Center, 1403 St. Joseph Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 3501 and Sid Nelson Center, 248 Muscogee Rd, Cantonment, Florida 32533. The Title I Family Resource Centers provide various activities, materials, and opportunities to teach parents how to work more effectively with their children at home. To enhance learning videos, cassette tapes, books, puzzles, educational electronic games, computers, digital cameras, instructional folder games, and manipulatives for developing reading and math skills are available for checkout. Parents may also use equipment and supplies to construct learning activities to be used at home.

Scheduled workshops and an annual parent conference “Promoting Parent Power” allow parents to participate in research-based activities that promote effective parent involvement.
